ABOUT:
Mr. Hajinder has an active civil and commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on insurance related disputes. He represents insurance companies in general insurance and subrogation claims. Hajinder read law at the University of the West of England, Bristol. Upon returning to Malaysia, he obtained the Certi ficate in Legal Practice with honours awarded by the Malaysian legal profession qualifying board and was called to the Malaysian bar in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Hajinder was practising in a boutique law firm specializing in litigation.
EXPERIENCE:
Hajinder has appeared at all levels of court, is a meticulous and dedicated advocate and a hands on corporate advisor. Being such a versatile asset, he also wears various hats and manages various portfolios.
He regularly represents financial institutions, insurance companies, educational and medical corporations as well as public listed companies in claims involving, amongst others, life insurance policies, fire damages, debt recovery, carriage of goods, marine insurance and charter parties, corporate debt recovery, Islamic debt recovery and litigation, theft of electricity, contract disputes and dispute resolution. Hajinder also represents clients in contractual, land, defamation, tortious and construction matters.
Besides appearing in court, Hajinder also appeared before the competition commission on matters concerning the competition act 2010. Hajinder also assists clients in police and investigations. Apart from his litigation practice, Hajinder also has an active corporate and advisory practice wherein he advises companies and individuals on agreements, policies and agencys’ rules and by-laws.
Hajinder is also actively involved in litigating and advising on employment and industrial related matters, construction disputes, arbitration and cipaa. Hajinder is the lead and assisting in various corporate exercises and advisory for a wide variety of clients and acts as the go-to guy for the firms retainer clients.
