About
Ummi heads the RSAS East Coast Practice and Department; operating out of Kuala Terengganu and branching out into other states in the East Coast. She graduated from University Teknology Mara (UiTM) with LL.B (Hons) in 2012 and initially practiced under the guidance of Messrs Zurina Hafizah & Co. and other mid-sized firms in Terengganu gaining valuable experience in dispute resolution, insurance, banking and commercial civil litigation and specialising civil and Insurance related litigation.
Her area of practice encompasses but is not limited to advisory and litigation relating to both medico-legal and general insurance, reinsurance , Takaful Law as well as banking and commercial litigation.
She is very experienced in handling trials in all levels of Court in which she frequently gets dismissals in claims against the Insurers; as well as in combating Fraud claims. She frequently acts as counsel at the Court of Appeal and is a valued litigator in high magnitude insurance related litigation; her dedication towards her career makes her a tough litigator whilst fighting in Court; and yet a firm mediator with a high ratio of settlements every month.
She brings a wealth of experience to RSAS and leads our practice in the East Coast from Terengganu, Pahang and all the way to Kota Bharu, Kelantan. She is also part of the RSAS Continued Learning Team and seeks out new branches of growth and ensuring existing knowledge base is continually maintained.
