ABOUT:
Born in Kelantan on 16 September 1964, Siti Naim is the ninth of eleven siblings. She is married to an ex-army officer and has five children. Her first job was with the government ministry of defence as diplomatic service for 2 years upon graduating with llb (hons)from Stafordshire polytechnic, stoke on Trent, United Kingdom in 1990.
She joined psc-naval dockyard Sdn. Bhd. In September 1997 under procurement & contracts department, in Lumut, having completed her certificate of legal practice and previously lectured law subjects for the London university external LLB, ICSA and ACCA programmes at various local colleges, for 3 years.
She is part of the pioneer team of legal & contracts department which was detached from the procurement & contracts department and in 2000 she was entrusted to head the department, deputizing the senior manager who was posted to hamburg, Germany. With 3 personnel under her supervision, she continued to liaise directly with the management team and managed to increase the departments strength to 7 legal officers. In 2003, she was made head of legal department.
She left the company in 2005 for a stint of 9 months to complete her chambering at messrs T. S. Marbeck & Co. and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2006. She then, immediately resumed her duties at psc-naval dockyard Sdn. Bhd. Then rebranded Boustead naval shipyard Sdn. Bhd. Under the employment of Boustead Penang shipyard Sdn. Bhd. and continued to serve the company.
In 2009, Siti Naim was conferred the master’s degree in law by Mara university of technology, Malaysia. She specializes in government contracts, being directly involved in the negotiation and implementation of various agreements, particularly the RM6 billion first generation patrol vessel project and joint venture contracts, sitting as the longest serving director of BHIC defence technologies Sdn. Bhd. , a special purpose vehicle for the Boustead. Siti Naim Binti Jamaluddin, as partner possesses deep knowledge in corporate legal risk management and addressing legal issues in domestic and international environment vast experiences in dealing with government agencies, foreign and local companies direct involvement in draing and negotiations in di‑erent projects/contracts i. E. Constructions, design, shipbuilding, oil & gas and government contracts familiar with securities commissions regulations & ministry of finances procurementguidelines contract draing and negotiation contract management and administration management of contract claims, variations and disputes employment law trans-pacic partnership agreement alternative dispute resolutions masters in laws admitted as advocate & solicitor in the high court of Malaya Certificate of professional legal practice (clp) bachelor of laws with honours (llb) member of chartered institute of arbitrator certified mediator(mciarb)industries group for joint venture agreements entered with foreign/local partners to form joint venture companies. As at 2017, she has behind her 26 years post-graduate working experience. She has delivered various seminars and courses on contract management under the company’s in-house programmes.
Siti Naim is also part of the Boustead heavy industries group’s core management team and policymaking committee. She is a registered adjudicator since 2017. Her 22 fullling years at Boustead heavy industries corporation bhd, Siti Naim retired in December 2019.
