SHORT BIO:
Effa Farida binti Nor Azizi is an Advocate and Solicitor with over a decade of experience in litigation and dispute resolution, having been admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 2014. Her practice is centred on civil litigation, debt recovery, employment, and commercial disputes, with a particular focus on strategically complex and contested matters.
She began her career with Messrs BH Koh, Soong, Zarin & Partners, where she developed a strong foundation in dispute management and advocacy. She subsequently established Messrs Effa & Co, where she led and managed a broad portfolio of contentious and advisory matters, advising clients on legal strategy, risk exposure, and practical enforcement considerations. She has also undertaken cross-border work through her engagement with a law firm based in Perth, Australia further strengthening her commercial perspective.
Effa has acted in a range of matters including resisting a judicial management application, assisting in constructive dismissal claim, and leading a group action against developer. Her experience also extends to contested probate and administration matters, as well as banking litigation. In addition, she advises on and drafts a range of commercial agreements, including employment contracts and independent service arrangements.
She regularly manages matters from inception through to resolution and has appeared as counsel at various levels of the Malaysian courts. Effa is known for her disciplined approach to litigation, combining strategic clarity with rigorous execution. Her practice reflects a strong emphasis on outcomes, sound commercial judgement, and effective client management in complex and high-pressure disputes.
